Due to their size, Mice are naturally timid and a bit nervous, so you'll need to be careful when approaching them.

When you get your mouse you may want to get a few, as they are social creatures and
do very well in "colony" situations.

If you have multiple male mice be aware that they will fight, so you'll do better with either all females or females with 1 male. However, mice are prolific breeders so if you don't want an instant colony, keep your family to all females.

Keeping their home clean and tidy is quite time consuming as mice can be quite messy.
You must be willing to give their home daily attention in order to keep your pets healthy and happy.

If you intend to have Mice as pets for young children, you must supervised them at all times, as injuries for the Mouse may result.

Your mouse cage will need to be kept clean and dry at all times so you will have to be willing to clean the cage thoroughly twice a week.
